Bias and Privacy with Generative AI Tools

Sponsored by the Center for DLiT, these sessions for 2023–2024 focus on issues of teaching and learning around generative artificial intelligence in its various forms. Each session will include a short introduction and time to experiment with generative AI, followed by a discussion of implications and possibilities for Adventist higher education. Description: Issues of privacy in the use of new generative AI tools are rapidly changing. In addition, generative AI tools are trained on human text that likely includes bias. How does this impact our use and our students’ use of these tools? Let’s explore these issues together.
